With over 20 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry, I’ve built homes, managed retail operations, and helped countless families create safe, beautiful spaces. But it wasn’t until moving to Iowa with my wife Sara and our four kids that I felt called to do something even more meaningful.

Sara grew up right here—her parents are lifelong farmers from Bankston. When we moved to Dubuque, we saw a community full of heart, but also full of need: families struggling to afford basic repairs, veterans living without essentials, and children stuck in cycles of violence or addiction at home.

That’s why I launched Stu’s Home Improvement Outlet—not just to sell discounted cabinets, flooring, and paint, but to give back. Through partnerships with major retailers and suppliers, we’re blessed to purchase inventory at a deep discount and pass those savings on to you.

But the bigger picture is what fuels us. Every purchase supports Restoration Works, our nonprofit dedicated to providing emergency home repairs for veterans, mentorship for youth, and support for those rebuilding after addiction or incarceration.
